Requirement for Visa

Citizens of most countries require a valid visa to enter Bangladesh. Type, the category of visa and duration of stay are determined/ confirmed by the Embassy. Type and category of visa will vary according to the purpose of visit, the length of stay and bilateral arrangement with the country of the foreign national. Any change in rules and regulations made by the Government of Bangladesh will apply to issue visas.


General requirements for all categories of Visas:

Following documents are needed to send/ submit to get a visa from the Embassy of Bangladesh:

  • 1 (one) copy duly filled-in visa application form VISA_FORM
  • 1 (one) copies of recent photographs (Size: 37mmX37mm)
  • Original valid passport (valid at least for 6 months)
  • Proof of payments of required visa fee (please check required visa fee page) transferred to Embassy Bank Account
  • Required documents to get visa of your category/type (please check required documents page)
  • Self-addressed envelope with sufficient stamp for sending passport by registered post (if you want passport back by post)

Tablig Jamaat visa

1. Filled in FF-1 and FF-2 forms

2. Photocopy of the first five pages of the passport

3. Original passport and necessary payment receipt only after Embassy’s clearance

4. Flight particulars when clearance is conveyed

5. The list of equipment’s the applicant requires to bring with him to Bangladesh

Spouses and dependents of all categories (except the person attending Tablig Jamaat and Tourists Visa)

Certification/necessary letter in support of relations


  •  Important note:
    Without Romanian nationality who lives in Romania, need to submit a copy of permanent resident card/long term Romanian work visa/ along with the application.

The complete fee for the visa has to be paid upon application and will not be refunded even if the visa application is rejected.
